Theatre Peckham's Christmas show is A Ladd In Peckham, its Aladdin, 4 to 23 December. Tickets £18, £15 under-16s, £10 under-10s; family of four £50.

Peckham’s Christmas show this year is A Ladd In Peckham, at Theatre Peckham, 221 Havil Street, SE5 7SB, from Friday 4 to Wednesday 23 December 2026. It is the theatre’s version of Aladdin: the theatre called for young company members to audition for “Aladdin” in June, and the show page sells it as “1 Lad. 2 Phones. 3+ Wishes. Peckham’s about to get magical.”

The short answer:

  • Public shows run from Saturday 5 December to Wednesday 23 December, at 1pm and 5pm at weekends, 7pm on some weekday evenings, and 1pm matinees on the last three days.
  • Tickets: £18 full price, £15 concessions including under-16s, £10 for under-10s, and a family ticket of £50 for two adults and two under-16s.
  • Running time: two hours including a 20 minute interval. The theatre rates it suitable for all ages.

Theatre Peckham does not call it a pantomime. It calls it the “Festive Show 2026”, in the line of its earlier Christmas shows: Rapunzel set in a Peckham hairdresser’s, Scroogelicious, and The Wonderful. But if you are searching for a panto in Peckham, this is the one: a fairy tale, a genie, original songs, comedy and audience interaction, with professional actors on stage alongside young performers from the theatre’s own Academy.

Every performance

The box office lists 27 performances. Eight of them, the 10am weekday shows, are the schools performances set out on the theatre’s schools page. The rest are the public shows:

Date Times
Saturday 5 December 1pm, 5pm
Sunday 6 December 1pm, 5pm
Tuesday 8 December 7pm
Friday 11 December 7pm
Saturday 12 December 1pm, 5pm
Sunday 13 December 1pm, 5pm
Tuesday 15 December 7pm
Thursday 17 December 7pm
Friday 18 December 7pm
Saturday 19 December 1pm, 5pm
Monday 21 December 1pm
Tuesday 22 December 1pm, 7pm
Wednesday 23 December 1pm

Times are from the theatre’s Ticketsolve box office, which also gives a doors time half an hour before each start. When we checked on 28 September, Tuesday 8 December was already sold out, both the 10am schools show and the 7pm public show; every other performance was on sale. The schools page lists a 10am show on Friday 18 December that the box office does not carry, so treat that one as unconfirmed.

The Christmas holiday for Southwark’s community schools starts on 21 December, so the shows from Saturday 19 December onwards fall in the school holidays. Dulwich’s independent schools break up earlier, on Wednesday 16 December. Our Dulwich school term dates page has every school’s last day.

Tickets and prices

From the show page:

  • General admission: £18
  • Concessions, including under-16s: £15
  • Under-10s: £10
  • Family ticket (two adults and two under-16s): £50
  • Groups of 10 or more: £13 a ticket
  • Peckham Local: £10

The £50 family ticket saves £16 on buying two adult and two under-16 tickets separately (£66). If your children are both under 10, the individual prices come to £56, so the family ticket still wins, by £6.

Peckham Local tickets are £10 and are for people living on eight named estates near the theatre: Aylesbury, Pelican, Sceaux Gardens, Southampton Way, Yellow Brick, Willowbrook, Lettsom and Clifton. Look for the Peckham Local option when booking. If you live locally and your estate is not on the list, the theatre asks you to tell it on socials@theatrepeckham.co.uk (Theatre Peckham).

Access and companion tickets are booked through the box office on 020 388 95752. The show page warns that there will be filming and photography, and that strobe lighting and haze may be used.

Schools and groups

Schools booking by 23 October get an early bird rate of £7.50 a child, with two free adults for every 30 children and extra adults at £13. After that date the schools price is £10 a child. Schools book by email to boxoffice@theatrepeckham.co.uk with the performance, the numbers and a contact, and the theatre invoices; payment is due within 30 days.

Getting there, and why not to drive

Theatre Peckham is on Havil Street, between Camberwell and Peckham, off Southampton Way. The theatre’s own advice (Your Visit):

  • Buses: 12, 36, 171, 345 and 436.
  • Trains: Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye Overground stations are each about a 20 minute walk.
  • Car: “There is very little free parking near Theatre Peckham”, and the space outside is for drop-off only. Our page on parking in Dulwich has the controlled zone hours and bay charges across this part of Southwark.
  • Bike: there is a rack at the front, at owners’ risk.

The foyer, theatre and downstairs studio are step-free, there are accessible toilets on both floors, and hearing loops are available from front of house. Check the Dulwich roadworks and travel page for bus diversions before an evening show.
